Abstract

Introduction: The education of Medical Faculty students equips them with the professional, social, and emotional skills needed to work in challenging environments. Mental challenges are directly related to an overload of material, unrealistic expectations, and significant responsibilities that require perfect time management. Unfortunately, many students experience burnout — emotional exhaustion resulting from chronic stress. This phenomenon is not only present among students but also in the professional healthcare environment, making the study of educational strategies and methods related to time management crucial.

Aim: The aim of this research is to analyze the key challenges faced by Medical Faculty students, with a particular focus on time organization, planning, and effective time management. Additionally, the study examines the correlation between these factors and psychological difficulties to gain a better understanding of their mutual impact on students’ academic and emotional development.

Materials and Methods: Quantitative data on mental and organizational challenges were collected using survey questionnaires, which aimed to assess students’ self-evaluation of personal time management, task distribution, and intellectual challenges within a specific time frame.

Results: Research results show that inadequate time management has a significant impact, as students who fail to balance their academic and personal obligations often face emotional and psychological difficulties. Moreover, students of the Faculty of Medicine consistently report high levels of stress, which leads to self-perceived feelings of anxiety, depression, and burnout.

Conclusion: The study highlights the need to improve educational strategies by teaching time management techniques, which could reduce psychological distress and help students better cope with academic demands.
