Introduction: Chemical terrorism represents one of the most dangerous and most destructive forms of modern terrorism, with the potential to cause unforeseeable consequences on multiple levels of social life. This connotation emphasizes the growing need for its analysis, as well as the analysis of methods for its prevention and suppression, both globally and nationally.

Materials and Methods: The materials and methods used for the preparation of this paper include a review of existing literature and scientific papers, as well as an analysis of legal documents: the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on Their Destruction, the Law on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, the Law on Protection and Rescue in Emergency Situations, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Chemical-Biological-Radiological-Nuclear (CBRN) Protection Teams.

Results: The result of this paper is the analysis of the theoretical definition of terrorism, analysis of the aforementioned Convention, as well as the way in which the Convention has been implemented in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
